Basic Bank Accounts

Opening a bank account has just become a lot easier as we at Dane have formed a partnership with Barclays Bank to set up ways of making it easier to manage your money. Although banks offer a basic bank account in some form or other what makes this account with Barclays so different is that we can help you open it.

You will still be able to get hold of your cash quickly and also make and receive payments to and from other people, as well as paying some of your bills by direct debit and tapping into those discounts on offer from some of the utility companies.

Banks can be daunting places for many people, we all know, so we are now offering to take away all legwork and form filling normally involved in opening a bank account, and help you through the process either at our offices or in the familiarity of your own home. Even if you have a poor credit history, County Court Judgments or are currently out of work, you can still be considered for a basic bank account, which will give you the following benefits:-

  • Salary and/or benefits automatically paid into your account
  • Payments made into your account
  • Instant access to your cash, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Withdrawal of up to £300 a day at Barclays or Woolwich cash machines or at post offices
  • Cash over the counter at Barclays
  • Your own cash card
  • Transfer of money into other accounts by phone 24 hours a day and the telephone banking services
  • Account updates from cash machines and full quarterly statements
  • Payment of regular bills by Standing Order or Direct Debit (some companies offer a discount on your bill for making payments this way)

What you need to do next to open a basic bank account.

It could not be easier to open one of these accounts as only minimum identification is requested to establish who you are and where you live. Once you have started the banking habit and learnt to run your account, you will wonder how on earth you managed without it.
