Our retirement homes are designed so that residents can keep their independence, as there are a range of services aimed at giving them control over their lives.

Services in our Retirement Schemes

We have a team of professional Community Support Co-ordinators who provide a visiting support service to our residents. The level of support provided is agreed with the resident through an assessment and support plan process when they become a resident which is then regularly reviewed. Our service standard is regulated by Supporting People Quality Assessment Framework, focusing on maintaining independence in the community, keeping residents safe in their homes, co-ordinating their care and reducing their isolation.

Retirement Bungalows

Our retirement bungalows are designed for independent living and provide a 24 hour community alarm service for responding to medical emergencies as well as a floating visiting support service.

.Community Alarm Service

The majority of our retirement homes benefit from an alarm system that is connected via a telephone line to the response centre. At the push of a button our residents are connected to a helpful, professional operator 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A pendant can be worn providing personal protection and constant reassurance whilst in their home or garden.

Telecare Service

We all have very different concerns about our home safety and our personal protection and Dane can offer a range of sensors for those people who require extra support over and above our community alarm service. These sensors can raise an alert to potential emergencies and enables people to age with dignity and privacy in the place they know best - their own home. 

We can also offer a personal home visit by one of our experienced staff to provide a demonstration of the choice of sensors that are available to residents, enabling them to make a more informed choice whilst preserving their privacy and independence.
