We are passionate about providing opportunities for training and development of all our employees; everyone gets the chance to stretch themselves. Doing a good day to day job is obviously important to us but we want employees to think of the bigger picture and personally develop themselves for their own benefit and the company. Our commitment to developing staff is a success story – we have won a variety of awards including the National Home Improvement Council Training Award for our apprentice scheme.
This is backed up by The Dane Housing Group being re-accredited with the Investors In People award in 2005 for the training and development of our staff. This has formed the basis of The Dane Housing Group’s Human Resources strategy since the Company was formed and helps to achieve the Company’s aims and objectives.
The assessor stated that, ‘… everyone worked as a team supporting each other, there was total commitment from the top and individual development was apparent throughout and everyone seen reflected the overall atmosphere and high morale. There was a clear planning process and employees regarded the management as recognising good work and people development. Communications were open and effective.’
